Dinner Theatre

Fort Gordon Dinner Theatre Production – The Smell of the Kill – is here! Show times are today and Saturday. Dinner is at 6:45 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. The Smell of the Kill revolves around Nicky, Debra and Molly who have tolerated one another during once-a-month dinners for years. One thing leads to another, and the women are faced with a life-or-death decision – should they leave the men out in the cold permanently or let them thaw? Butterfly Ball

Innovation Day

The U.S. Army Cyber School will host an Innovation Day on March 7, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Gordon’s Conference and Catering Center. Attend tech talks, earn continuing education units, and more. Register at www.federalevents.com/ftgordon.

Kickball Tourney

Grab the sunblock and your best teammates because the BOSS “Spring Fling” Kickball Tournament is just around the corner! Each team must consist of 11 people. Make sure you know your team captain, team name, team colors, and team members before registration ends on March 8. The games begin on March 15. For more details, please call 706- 791-5902.

St. Patty’s 5K

Over the river and through the woods we go to the Fort Gordon Saint Patrick’s 5K on March 9 This 5K is a timed fun run that will orientate through the Fort Gordon Disc Golf Course and is considered a trail run. Participants will start on 39th Street (near the Dog Park). Finisher medals will be presented at the completion of the event. Come enjoy a race with low traffic on Fort Gordon that helps to support our military! The Dare-To-Tri Triathlon on March 23 consists of a 300-meter pool swim, 16K bike ride, and 5K run that takes place on Fort Gordon. Lifeguard Classes

American Red Cross lifeguard classes will be starting this month! Classes run Monday through Friday at the Indoor Pool from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Must be 15 years of age and pass all prerequisites to participate. Prerequisites include swim, treading and timed brick events. Must be able to attend every class session for the week, pass water skills, check out and pass written exam with an 80 percent or higher. Battalion Volleyball

Battalion Volleyball is part of the Army Sports Program, whereas battalions formulate their teams to compete against other battalions on the installation for the right to play in a regional championship and then on to an Army championship. The season consists of round robin play and then a double elimination tournament to determine a post champion. This league is for active duty military only. Men’s and women’s programs offered. Teams must have a signed Memorandum of Intent to Play by their battalion commander. Call 706-791-1142 for more details.


The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) provides comprehensive support to family members with special needs. EFMP takes an all-inclusive approach to coordinate military and civilian community, educational, medical, housing, and personnel services to help Soldiers and their families with special needs. An exceptional family member is a family member with any physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorder that requires special treatment, therapy, education, training, or counseling, and meets the eligibility criteria. Musical Auditions

“Drinking Habits,” directed by Warren Post, has parts for five women and three men. Auditions will be held for any age at Musical Theatre Workshops Studio; 3817 Martinez Boulevard, Martinez (down the road from Putt Putt, in the Boulevard Plaza). Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing have been secretly making wine to keep the convent’s doors open, but Paul and Sally, reporters and former fiancées, are hot on their trail. New Podcast

The Association of the U.S. Army is launching a podcast series called ‘Army Matters,’ focusing on professional development, defense and national security, and Soldier and family topics. New podcasts are available every Monday at podcast.ausa.org.

Circuit Training

This Circuit Training 101 Class is a class for individuals to experience a high-intensity workout at a beginner’s level. Exercises are simple to understand and perform with proper form while still reaching the target heart rate as an alternate approach to cardio, which provides a low risk of injury. This class offers a basic approach to exercising, yet it is designed to build strength while improving endurance, without intimidating newcomers/ beginners to fitness training. Garden Plots

Calling all garden enthusiasts! The garden plots at the Community Garden in Fort Gordon for the 2019 planting season will be the same price, but double the size! This is a great opportunity to grow even more at the same low price. Call 706-791-9483 with any questions!

Vendee Loan Program

The VA Vendee Loan Program offers qualified borrowers the option of purchasing VA Real Estate Owned (REO) properties with little to no money down. The program is available to Veterans, non-Veterans, owner-occupants, and investors. Vendee is a viable alternative to traditional financing. Brown Bag Bible Study

The Center Chaplain’s Office sponsors a Brown Bag Bible Study every Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in Darling Hall, Room 188D.
