Dr. Seuss Fun Run

Get the kids out for the 2019 Dr. Seuss on the Loose 10k/5k run/1 mile walk on Saturday. With fresh air, plenty of laughs to go around and lots of room to exercise, it’s sure to be fun for the whole family! Union Meeting

STOMP Workshop

The Exceptional Family Member Program will host a free Specialized Training of Military Parents (STOMP) Workshop Feb. 14-15, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Darling Hall, Room 188C. Dinner Theatre

Fort Gordon Dinner Theatre Production – The Smell of the Kill – is here! Show times are as follows: Feb. 14-16, Feb. 22- 23, and March 1-2. Dinner is at 6:45 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. The Smell of the Kill revolves around Nicky, Debra and Molly who have tolerated one another during once-a-month dinners for years. One thing leads to another, and the women are faced with a life or death decision – should they leave the men out in the cold permanently or let them thaw? Butterfly Ball

Machine Gun Shoot

Fort Gordon Outdoor Recreation and the Fort Gordon Sportsman’s Club present the 2019 Machine Gun Shoot on Feb. 16, noon to 8 p.m. Come out and watch professional shooters fire amazing weapons; many of which are rare and antique. At dusk, check out the tracer fire. Onsite food and beverage will be available for purchase supporting Outdoor Recreation and the Sportsman’s Club from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those interested in shooting, contact Fort Gordon Outdoor Recreation at 706-791-5078.

Dare-To-Tri

Come enjoy a race with low traffic on Fort Gordon that helps to support our military! The Dare-To-Tri Triathlon on March 23 consists of a 300-meter pool swim, 16K bike ride, and 5K run that takes place completely on Fort Gordon. Circuit Training

This Circuit Training 101 Class is a class for individuals to experience a high-intensity workout at a beginner’s level. Exercises are simple to understand and perform with proper form while still reaching the target heart rate as an alternate approach to cardio, which provides a low risk of injury. This class offers a basic approach to exercising, yet it is designed to build strength while improving endurance, without intimidating newcomers/ beginners to fitness training. Brown Bag Bible Study

The Center Chaplain’s Office sponsors a Brown Bag Bible Study every Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in Darling Hall, Room 188D. Knitting Circle

Knit one, purl two! Knitting Circle is here to stay. The group includes every skill level, from brand new knitters to experienced, artisan crafters. Learn from others, exchange ideas, and make new friends. From 20-something Soldiers and spouses, to retirees and grandmothers, the Knitting Circle provides a comforting place to knit your bit. The Knitting Circle meets every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Woodworth Consolidated Library. Register by phone at (706)791- 7323, or in person.

Shooting Class

The Pistol & Rifle Shooting Class is for firearm enthusiasts 12 years of age and up, as well as those interested in firearms. The class is open to all individuals and includes instruction, range fees, ammunition and lunch for $40 per participant. Registration is required. Call (706)791-5078 for more information.

Gordon Club
