Christmas Festival

Get into the holiday spirit with the 2018 Christmas Festival Nov. 29. Bring your little ones out for crafts, hay rides, bonfires and photos with Santa. There will also be cookies, hot cocoa, free pizza from Dominos and soft drinks (starting at 5 p.m. while supplies last). Don’t miss out on a chance to hear live Christmas caroling, or purchase a gift for a loved one from one of the many vendors that will be there! Kids Paint Party

Create a personalized gift with your kid(s) at the Children’s Holiday Paint Party on Dec. 1. Don’t miss out on all the fun at 1:30 p.m. in the Hilltop Riding Stable. Couple’s Night Out

Enjoy a couple’s night out and create a holiday-themed work of art on Dec. 1. $60 per couple covers all supplies needed and light finger foods. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m., and participants 21 and older are encouraged to bring their favorite wine or beer. Call (706)791-4864 for more details.

2018 Holiday Ball

Join Team Gordon for the 2018 Holiday Ball on Dec. 8. Dress Mess uniforms are optional but it is a black tie equivalent event. The ball will be held in the Columbia County Exhibition Center, 212 Partnership Dr., Grovetown, Georgia, with a social hour beginning at 5 p.m. For more details, please email: fggaholidayball@gmail.com.

Army vs. Navy

Join BOSS as they close out the regular college football season with the infamous Army vs. Navy football game on Dec. 8. Food will be provided by Chick-fil-A. This event is free and open to all active duty and Reserve single Servicemembers only. Doors will open at noon. There will be multiple gaming opportunities on various platforms prior to kickoff: MADDEN (Xbox) SMASH BROS, BLACK OPS 4 LAN Party (PS4) and more. This is an alcohol-free event. Create with Me

ACS is hosting a “Create with Me” series of workshops with the Morris Museum of Art in Downtown Augusta. These workshops are to help kids become interested in the amazing world of art and creating. All children are welcome to join them on Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. in the Family Outreach Center to learn. For more details, call (706)791-5220.

Health and Wellness Fair

Do you have a business or organization that focuses on health and wellness? Would you like to participate as a demonstrator or sponsor? Save the date for our 2019 Health and Wellness Fair on Jan. 12. This event brings awareness to our Fort Gordon Servicemembers, families and the surrounding area about how to live a healthier lifestyle. Brown Bag Bible Study

The Center Chaplain’s Office sponsors a Brown Bag Bible Study every Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in Darling Hall, Room 188D. Gordon Club

Join us every Wednesday at Gordon’s Conference and Catering from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for lunch with a weekly rotating theme! Lunch is $10 per person and includes one entree, two sides, bread/roll, salad and a drink. Call (706)791-2205 for more information.

Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Join some of the best at this qualifying event for units to earn therighttosenda2manteam,at no cost, to the Mammoth Sniper Challenge, the toughest civilian snipe competition in the county. Fort Gordon MWR and Grunt Style will be selecting the best 4 teams to compete. All Fort Gordon Active Duty Mission partners are invited to send their best Service Members. Golf Club Membership

Attention all Gordon Lakes Golf Course members, bring a friend in to become a member at GLGC and you will receive a $50 Gift Certificate for our Pro-Shop after your friend signs up and pays for an annual membership! Game Night

Turn off the TV and get over to Family Game Night with New Parent Support and Woodworth Library at the Family Outreach Center. They will have games (or you can bring your own) and prizes. Gordon Car Care

In addition to the services provided by ASE technicians, Gordon Car Care also offers an Auto Skills area with instructors on hand to guide you as you work on your own vehicle. Patrons must attend a Shop Certification Class before using the Auto Skills area. Classes are offered during business hours, Wednesday through Sunday. For more information, call 706-791-2390.

Army Community Service

ACS invites you into a world of education, opportunity and discovery while offering programs and services that promote self-reliance, resilience, and stability during war and peace. Strength Board

Gordon Fitness Center has a new strength record board. Patrons can come and display their strength in the squat, bench press, deadlift, pushups and sit-ups. Perform the heaviest lift or complete the most reps to get your name displayed on the record board. Earn your bragging rights! For more information, call (706)791-2369.

Troops to Teachers

The Education Services Division hosts a briefing the second Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon at the Command Support Center, Bldg. 35200, located at 271 Heritage Park Lane. Benefits, financial assistance and incentives, counseling/referral services will be covered. Program is open to current and former Servicemembers with “Honorable” period of service. Lunch Buffet
