Dinner Theatre

Readers Circle

Create with Me

ACS is hosting a “Create with Me” series of workshops with the Morris Museum of Art in Downtown Augusta. These workshops are to help kids become interested in the amazing world of art and creating. Innovation Day

Mark your calendar! Fort Gordon Innovation Day will be held Oct. 17, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Gordon Catering and Conference Center. The event, hosted by the U.S. Army Signal School, is free and open to all Fort Gordon personnel. Morale Call

Paint Party

Commander’s Course

The Fort Gordon Company Commander/First Sergeant Pre- Command Course will be conducted

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 22-31. All courses will be held in Training Area 16, Building 81101 on 12th Street (located in the EST 2000/ HEAT Complex). Outdoor Recreation Movie

Get your little ghosts and goblins out to the Fort Gordon Outdoor Recreation Movie Under the Stars, Oct. 26! The feature presentation will be “Coco.” There will be a Halloween costume contest with multiple age categories; 4-year-olds and under, 5- to 8-year-olds and 9- to 15-year-olds. Installation Halloween Night

Halloween will be observed in Fort Gordon housing areas this year on Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m. Important items of note: the Installation Halloween Night is not open to off-post personnel and the Boardman Lake area will be off-limits. Both law enforcement and assigned Servicemembers will provide increased safety measures, such as traffic control and foot patrols during the two-hour trick-or-treating window. Retiree Appreciation Day

The Fort Gordon Retiree Appreciation Day is scheduled for 8 a.m. Nov. 3 at Darling Hall. Briefings and medical screenings will be available from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. A lunch choice of soup and salad or the taco bar will be served at noon in the Gordon Conference and Catering Center for $10. Troops to Teachers

The Education Services Division hosts a briefing the second Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon at the Command Support Center, Bldg. 35200, located at 271 Heritage Park Lane. Benefits, financial assistance and incentives, counseling/referral services will be covered. Program is open to current and former Servicemembers with “Honorable” period of service. Consumer Health Website

The EAMC Health Sciences Library now offers access to the Health & Wellness Resource Center website. HWRC provides 24/7, user-friendly access to a vast array of trustworthy and up-to-date health news and information. Special features include a Spanish-language search filter, text-to-speech technology, and the ability to translate into 40 languages and the user interface into 34 languages. All members of the Fort Gordon community and their immediate family members may register by calling (706)787-4446/4447, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

MWR Scavenger Hunt

Parenting Academy

Parenting can be very rewarding but doesn’t necessarily come with an instruction manual! The Parenting Academy is a series of 10 workshops covering different aspects of raising children from kids and technology to alternative parenting. New Parent Support

New Parent Support has a plethora of programs and events for families with children 4 and under. From playgroups to art session and massage instruction, they help to build the bond between parents and their new family member.
