Say hello to 23-year-old Pvt. Mufrad Talukder, a native of Woodside, N.Y., and assigned to E Company, 369th Signal Battalion, 15th Regimental Signal Brigade. He is currently training for the military occupational specialty 25U, signal support systems specialist, and joined the Army in September of last year out of Long Island, N.Y. Talukder is following in the footsteps of his grandfather who served in the Bangladesh Army. Approximately two years ago a co-worker introduced him to a professional wrestling training facility in Staten Island, N.Y. Talukder, being a life-long wrestling fan, did not want to turn down the opportunity. He trained for four months and started getting booked for wrestling matches. Using the stage name Damian Khan he has worked for World of Wrestling, World Wrestling Council Puerto Rico, and Old Time Pro Wrestling. When his pro wrestling career came to a halt he realized he wanted to be part of a special organization: the United States Army. Talukder’s short-term goal is to complete airborne school and become a Green Beret. His long-term goal is to have a chance at the WWE and to reenlist after his initial term.
