Fort Gordon dining facilities host Thanksgiving meal
Dining facilities across the installation pulled out all the stops Nov. 28 in celebration of Thanksgiving by creating a bounty of food and cheer enjoyed by approximately 2,000 Soldiers, retirees and their families.
“Preparation for the meal began three weeks in advance,” said Alina Miller, manager of Dining Facility 4.
Elegant food displays, ice sculptures, and a menu to be unrivaled provided diners with a culinary kick start to the holiday season. Winning the annual Commanding General’s Best Decorated Dining Facility Competition was DFAC 2.
